Leveraging R&D and Innovation Discussion March 21, 2012 : Join us for a talk about "How to Leverage R&D and Innovation" with Keynote Speaker Dr. Tony Redpath, Advisor and VP MaRS Toronto. Trained as a scientist who evolved into an entrepreneur, Dr. Redpath will discuss his experiences and insights with how R&D and innovation are at the heart of new developments in any organization. Dr. Redpath's talk will be followed by a panel of New Brunswick researchers and organizations that have successfully leveraged R&D to solve industry issues and to capture commercial opportunities. The panel discussion will include an open mike Q&A session for all audience participants to talk freely with both panelists and Dr. Redpath.

R3 Innovation Challenge and Gala 2012 March 21, 2012 : This year, NBIF and Cox & Palmer will host the third bi-annual R3 Gala, honouring three of New Brunswick's top applied researchers, presenting each with the R3 Award for Excellence in Applied Research. Throughout the dinner, to be held on the evening of March 21, 2012 at the Fredericton Convention Centre, a short documentary film will be shown about each researcher and their contribution to industry and society.
