Atlantic Cancer Research Institute Cancer bio-medical research, providing knowledge generation in a clinical setting using an inter-disciplinary approach. Expertise includes genomics, proteomics, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, bioinformatics, pathology, synthetic and organic chemistry, mass spectrometry as well as in vitro and in vivo testing.

Atlantic Dairy & Forage Institute The Atlantic Dairy and Forage Institute is a not-for-profit dairy research facility located in Fredericton Junction, New Brunswick. ADFI was established with the objective to conduct research on behalf of the New Brunswick and Canadian Dairy Industries. This objective is achieved by fulfilling the three mandates of the institute which are:
  • Excellence in ruminant nutrition research services,
  • Addressing environmental issues in the dairy industry through research and innovation, and;
  • Enhancing public awareness of agriculture through community outreach
ADFI operates a 150 acre research farm, where it conducts research for pharmaceutical, feed, and nutraceutical companies, governments and farmers.

Coastal Zones Research Institute Inc. / Institut de recherche sur les zones côtières inc. The Coastal Zones Research Institute Inc. (CZRI) is a private non-profit institution affiliated with the Université de Moncton, Shippagan Campus (New Brunswick). The Institute encourages a multi-disciplinary approach focusing on four main areas of research relevant to coastal zones: aquaculture; fishery & marine products; peat & peatlands and sustainable development of coastal zones. Research areas are supported by laboratory analysis, accredited by the Canadian Association for Laboratory Accreditation (CALA) in accordance with the International Standard ISO IEC 17025 and recognized by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

Potato Research Centre, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada The Potato Research Centre (PRC) uses traditional and leading edge technology in order to develop new potato varieties that possess superior traits. Advanced breeding, coupled with genomics technologies, is used to develop varieties with superior agronomic performance, pest resistance, processing traits and new market potential. The PRC also performs lead research on detection and control of potato diseases, as well as the agronomy of potato production. The Centre manages a field site in St-Joseph-de-Kent (Bouctouche) which conducts research on tree fruit, berry and vegetable crops.
